· Ivory silk-satin
· Strapless dress, with a slight dip in the back
· Size 6 (the following are my actual measurements which fluctuate: bust34/35in, waist 26/27in, hips 38/39in, but hips don’t matter since it is a ball gown) height 5’4”, there is plenty room to make the dress longer to fit a taller person, about 5 inches of playroom. The shoes that I wore had a 3-inch heel.

· The dress was cleaned and preserved through J. Scheer & Co. They are highly recommended by SAKS (where dress was purchased) and Martha Stewart, when it comes the couture clothing and handling and restoring fine museum textiles. The gown is ready to wear; there is no further treatment that the dress must go through before the wedding day, other than a pressing that the dressmaker could handle.
